With many cutting tools available for industrial woodworking applications, is the diamond tool solution right for you? Diamond Drill Suppliers share with you

1.The range on offer. Diamond tip solutions are offered in the form of moulder heads, inserters, tenoners, planer heads, CNC router heads, panel saws, scribing saws, gang saws, trim saws, slotting saws and tools for specialized machines.

2. Customized for the application. Diamond Tools are designed to fit the customer's specific application. Look for a technical sales team who will go out of their way to ask you about your spindle speed, feed rate, wood type, laminate type, cutting direction and grain direction. They will send this information to the engineering staff for evaluation and comparison in a large database of cutting data. Experience matches your specific needs to create a custom cutting tool for your application.

3. High impact resistance and long life. Manufacturers who don't take advantage of the benefits of diamond-tipped tools over traditional carbide tipped and inserted tools may be missing out on opportunities. While not suitable for every cutting application, diamond can be used in many applications, including those involving solid wood, wood materials, plastics or composites. Advances in diamond grades and grinding technology have also resulted in higher impact resistance compared to carbide tools, which typically last 20 to 75 times longer, depending on the application. Diamond also has a higher tool life/cost ratio.

4. Stacked vs. monobloc. Another important feature to look for in a diamond tool is the design; maximizing the number of sharpenings while maintaining an accurate contour shape every time. One option is an adjustable stacked tool body combined with a complex machined tool body. This allows a large number of sharpening operations to be performed before changing tool tips. Another option is to use a contoured tool in a one-piece tool body. However, while the one-piece tool body design will have a lower price for a new tool up front, it will cost more throughout the life of the tool, as service costs will accumulate rapidly over time due to frequent diamond tip changes. In addition, repeatedly reheating the brazed diamond tips in order to maintain the contour shape may also affect the tool's service life.

These are just a few tips for diamond cutting tools that help achieve better performance, higher quality output, cost savings and reduced maintenance in industrial woodworking applications. We also have Geotechnical Drilling Tools available, please feel free to contact us if you need them!
